R&D in Germany, volume production in China - The best of both worlds

 

HDT delivers the best of both worlds: German innovation and quality, and Chinese cost-effectiveness. Our seven-person research and development team is based at our headquarters in Glottertal. Every product is designed with efficient manufacturing and the specifics of our production facilities in mind – for seamless implementation and greater cost-effectiveness. Generally, we manufacture small batches (up to 1,000 units) in Germany, and larger volumes in China.
Quality is our top priority – and naturally, this applies equally to our factories in Germany and China. The BEHA Group, our parent company,  has been certified to ISO 9001 for over 15 years. Production processes at our Dongguan plant are based on Toyota Production System (TPS) principles for continuous improvement. Our cell production system leverages team power to motivate workers to keep quality high. Shop floor staff are encouraged to contribute their suggestions for boosting efficiency at regular Kaizen meetings. Moreover, our European management team visits the site in China on a monthly basis to ensure compliance with our stringent standards.
