Next milestone within reach
Dongguan, China. More space, new opportunities: With the signing of a new lease, another milestone in the history of HDT Dongguan is within reach. Associated with this new lease is the move to new premises that offer around 2,000 square meters more space than the current manufacturing location of HDT in China.
"Not only the infrastructure of the new manufacturing location, but also our business concept will receive a noticeable boost from the move," says Lars Beha, Managing Director. The new building - about three kilometers away from the previous location - is only a few years old and situated in an excellently organized industrial park. There is also the option of further growth at the same location. This option was no longer available recently. A total of around 4200 square meters will then be available, which will essentially be used for production, warehousing, and development.
"Our employees will also benefit from this step," says plant manager Berthold Schlieske. "There will be an improved canteen, plus various sports and leisure facilities. We expect this to give us even more consistency in terms of our team. This will also benefit our customers in the form of even more stable quality and consistent delivery times."
The new company building should be ready for move-in at the beginning of June - preparations are already in full swing. In addition to more production cells, the deepening of the company's own production capacities such as SMT assembly, production of special test leads or even injection molding is also taken a big step closer. In addition, the R&D competence center at the China site is to be expanded.
